Bethany Volleyball Clinic
Wednesday, January 05, 2011Bethany College is hosting a volleyball clinic on Saturday February 5, 2011 at Bethany College Hummel Field House.
Grades 1-8 12:00 to 2:00pm all skills clinic -The all skills clinic for girls in grades 1-8 will focus on fundamental skill development. Instruction will focus on passing, serving, and attacking.
Grades 9-12 2:00-4:30 pm Setting
Learn proper hand postition, footwork to the pass, annd leadership skills. Practice the execution of various sents and patterns in game like situations. Right back defense will also be covered in the setter clinic.
Grades 9-12 2:00-4:30 Outside hitting
Develop proper arm swing, hand contact and footwork to the ball. Learn how to score against a double block and improve your timing as well. Camp teachers the elements of a strong attack and will help players gain confidence as a hitter.
Grades 9-12 4:30-7:00 Defense
The defense clinic will focus on proper fundamentals and execution of defensive skills and serve recieve passing. Digging, acceleration skills, court responsibilities, and ball control will be covered. Instruction will also be given on developing a strong serve.
Grades 9-12 4:30-7:00 Middle Hitting
Develop proper arm swing, hand contact and attack footwork. Improve your timing for twos, slides, shoots, and quick sets, as well as blocking and transition training.
Each session is $30. Any player who chooses to participate in 2 sessions will receive a discounted rate of $25 per session. You may only choose one skill per time session.
